This
man on the 10th Inst. was leaving the grounds without leave at 2 p.m. to get
drink, he afterwards obtained a bottle of ale and at 10 1/4p.m. the Wardsman
heard a cry of murder from the upper ward, went up and found Joyce Durack,
making use of bad language and assaulting the inmate Frier with his Boots. He
was at once discharged according to his order of admission. |

Having
become insane and a danger to the other inmates, was reported to the Medical
Officer who called on the Honorary Medical Staff when Dr. Karr attended, who
on examination with Dr. Holthouse, pronounced him Insane, information was
laid and the man removed. Dr. Bunce also visited and wrote to Mr. Caslle J.P.
that this man was insane and not under safe custody, he was removed on that
order of the 6th Inst. |
