Capture the Vision

This ongoing project commenced in 2006 and consists of two parts:

GOT the PICTURE? and TODAY for TOMORROW

1. Got The Picture is aimed at collecting and copying historical photographs
held by individuals who are willing to either donate their photographs or allow them to be scanned at the Gold Museum.

2. Today for Tomorrow involves members taking photographs to record the present. Images of street scenes, buildings and events are important.

All the collected images are being stored in a digital archive held at the Gold Museum. Images are being catalogued and indexed for researchers and for exhibitions.

Can you help us preserve our history in images?

If you have photographs which you would allow the Society to copy please contact us through the Gold Museum on ph: 03 5337 1107 or send an email using the contact form on this website.
